About Work

Start: Concept & Pre-Production

What began as a casual workout shoot for a longtime client and family friend quickly evolved into an opportunity to spotlight a local gym. Gerald approached A Creative Flo with a simple request: document a personal training session to create a visual memory of his progress. With no formal storyboard but full creative freedom, we pulled together gear for a same-day shoot at his training location.

Upon arrival, we began capturing dynamic B-roll of Gerald warming up, stretching, and prepping for a strength workout. When the gym owner and trainer arrived, he immediately saw the value of turning the session into a full promotional video for his gym—The Fit Lab ATL. This organic pivot led us to reframe the shoot in real time, giving equal attention to both the athlete and the training environment.

Pre-production (on-the-fly) tasks included:

  • Spontaneous concept shift to dual-feature (client + gym)
  • Location light assessment and quick scene blocking
  • Verbal agreement on content goals with trainer/owner
  • Live development of shot order and brand framing strategy
Video Production

Professional Video Filming and Production

Build: Production

Our team quickly pivoted into production mode, turning the active gym floor into a moving set. We focused on capturing high-intensity workout footage with clean, stable motion, using gimbal rigs and close-up lensing to emphasize form, focus, and physical energy. The gym’s natural lighting and industrial look added texture and realism to the shots.

To promote both Gerald’s fitness journey and the gym’s identity, we captured footage from multiple perspectives—wide, first-person-style, and motivational over-the-shoulder angles. The vibe was electric: live coaching, high energy, and full buy-in from everyone on site. We also captured natural interactions between trainer and client, adding authenticity to the final product.

Production highlights included:

  • On-location shooting with dynamic, moving camera rigs
  • Handheld reaction shots and “hype” footage for high impact
  • Branding visuals including gym signage, training gear, and logo wear
  • Raw audio overlays of encouragement and grit
Video Post-production

Creative Video Editing and Post-production

Polish: Post-Production

In post, we took a documentary-style approach, mixing high-contrast black-and-white shots with bold, colored action cuts to evoke emotion and intensity. Paired with a motivational audio track, we structured the edit to move from warmup to action to payoff—mirroring a real workout journey.

We used fast cuts, ramped speed changes, and subtle overlays to create a sense of momentum while preserving the authenticity of the environment. Logo placement and subtle taglines were added in post to promote the gym without overwhelming the content. The result: a promo piece that was equal parts raw, relatable, and visually sharp.

Post-production deliverables included:

  • 60-second vertical and widescreen promo cuts
  • Social-ready teaser video for Reels/Stories
  • Gym branding integration with logo overlays
  • Color-corrected footage with optional black-and-white sequence
